Althea officinalis 100gm
Marshmallow root has traditionally been used by herbalists to treat coughs and cold and to support a healthy digestive system
Directions:
To make a marshmallow root infusion or tea use one to two teaspoonfuls of dried root to a cupful of water. Either make as a traditional tea or, to gain maximum strength, place the roots in a saucepan, pour on the water, cover with a lid and simmer gently for approximately ten minutes before straining.
Recipe suggestion: syrups, sauces and custards can be infused with the distinctive aniseed notes by adding the root, heating, and then removing before serving
For further information and recommended dosage please consult a qualified herbalist. We suggest no more than three or four cups of tea per day.
Our dried herbs are supplied in resealable, compostable brown paper bags
Soil Association certified organically grown root. Herb from Hungary (country of origin may vary).
